Biker completes ride
Mariusz Buczek of Chicago, Illinois and a property owner in Edwards County started on his 1,356 mile trip on April 11th and arrived in Rocksprings on April 26th around 2:00 p.m. You ask why did it take so long? Mariusz was riding a bicycle.
Usually bikers will travel in groups and they will have someone with a vehicle and trailer for emergency purposes following. He was alone and averaged about 85 miles a day and rode eight to twelve hours a day. He stayed in motels at night and would eat breakfast and supper. He said, “I would do water and vitamins the rest of the day.” He stated that Missouri was the worst state and he nearly called it quits several times because of the weather and flat tires.
