Yellowjackets sting Angoras in last seconds of game, 27-24
Friday night was a beautiful night to play football.
It was Parents Night and the Angoras got the ball rolling with a 20 yard ceremonial touchdown run by Dillon Brown. Dillon has been a special part of the Angora football team for several years.
The Menard Yellow jackets kicked off to the Angoras and both teams had a possession before the Angoras struck first with a 38 yard run by Christian Montoya. The point after failed making the score 6-0.
The Yellow Jackets got the ball and drove down and scored making the score 6-6 with 2:21 left in the first quarter. The first quarter ended with a 6-6 tie.
The Angoras came out the second quarter and moved the ball down the field and scored on a 13 yard run by Adrian Mata making the score 12-6 with 11:42 left in the second quarter. Both teams were not able to move the ball as the defenses toughened up. The score remained 12-6 at the half.
