2020 RHS Valedictorian-Zoe Burleson Zoe is the daughter of Allison and Jason Burleson and granddaughter of Hershel Burleson and Charlotte and Mike Grooms.

2020 RHS Salutatorian- Mitchell Connor Lyon Conner is the son of Courtney and Thom Lyon. Connor’s grandparents are Bill and Karen Lyon and Mitchell and Peggy Brasington.

Amidst a very unusual and trying times end to the school year of 2019-2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rocksprings ISD recently announced that they will conduct commencement exercises on May 22nd at Angora Stadium. Although Edwards County has had no reports of anyone testing positive to the virus, the outdoor atmosphere will be good for social distancing. Guests are limited to 10 for each senior. Activities began at 8:00 p.m.

Guest speaker for the evening will be Larry Taylor, M. Ed.. Taylor has 46 years of experience in educational leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Education from Southwest Texas State College. Mr. Taylor also holds a Counselor Certification from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Texas Superintendent Certification from Southwest Texas State University. Mr. Taylor served as Interim Superintendent for RISD during 2017.
