First District game for Angoras to be played this Friday
The Angoras play their first district game this Friday night against the Christoval Cougars. The Cougars are ranked no. 8 statewide overall in the 2A Division II and have a 4-1 record before district play.
This will not only be the first round of District play for the Angoras, but most likely the toughest. Their senior quarterback, Brayden Wilcox, will be a tough opponent. Last year Wilcox acquired 48 total touchdowns, rushing for nearly 2000 yards, and averaging 14.8 yards per carry. However, the Angoras will arrive in Christoval with good standings and an undefeated record of 4-0. With 27 returning lettermen and 15 returning starters, Rocksprings is in high spirits. They also have one of the biggest, experienced offensive line that they have had in a number of years. If their last game against Iraan was any indication (54-12), the Angoras have a good chance of coming home with a much sought after first District victory and pursuing the goal of District Champs.
