1927 tornado remembered
On April 12, 1927, an EF5 tornado roared through Rocksprings, Texas, destroying ninety percent of the town. This issue contains a woman’s account as the tornado hit.

On April 12, 2017, a Wednesday, the Edwards County Historical Commission will present a program remembering this devastating weather event that destroyed over 2/3 of the homes and businesses of Rocksprings, and where many were killed or injured.
