City Wide Cleanup Day scheduled for September 30
The Rocksprings City Council called to order a special meeting on Thursday, August 24th. During the Public Forum segment Manuel Montoya discussed the flooding of property due to an open water gap in town.
There were several items on the agenda up for approval. City Secretary Robin Clanton was approved as Investment Officer to the city. An investment policy drafted by Kassahn & Ortiz was approved by the city council. Also approved was the Rocksprings Automotive Priority I grant for the acquirement of a tow truck. The purchase of a new 2017 Harben high pressure jetting machine was approved by the city council. The approval of the Edwards Central Appraisal District Budget and payments was given. The alderman position resigned from by Christina Reyes was decided by the council to be left vacant until the next regular municipal election or special election.
