Commissioners approve purchase of new truck for road department and advertise the Road Superintendent position
The Edwards County Commissioners met at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11th. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Judge Souli Shanklin and roll was called by District/ County Clerk Olga Lydia Reyes. Commissioner Matt Fry was the only absent commissioner and Judge Shanklin declared a quorum. Staff reports were accepted and no one spoke in open forum. Prior minutes were approved and the burn ban issue was tabled.
The commissioners approved the Proclamation regarding Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, with the statement that once again, this is an issue that should be addressed regularly and everyone should be aware of and active about at all times. They also approved the resolution in Support of Legislation to Protect Aquifers as this protects from discharge into the river. Working with the water district will help keep water control local.
