Skero welcomed as new District Attorney Border Prosecution Unit Investigator for 452nd District

The 452nd Judicial District recently welcomed Austin Skero as its new District Attorney Border Prosecution Unit Investigator. Skero has over 30 years of law enforcement experience, most recently serving over 26 years with the United States Border Patrol. He began his law enforcement career in Kimble and Edwards counties and joined the Border Patrol in 1995. He was initially assigned to Brownsville, Texas but served on the northern and southern borders extensively. He also served two tours in Washington, DC at the Customs and Border Protection and US Border Patrol Headquarters offices. Skero retired July 31st as the Chief of the US Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector.
