Something good can come out of something bad

In regards to the tragic wreck on SH41 recently, it should be acknowledged that an Edwards County local is indeed a hero.

State Trooper Brian Iselt (not on duty at the time), his wife Cecily and their young son Cooper were actually heading back to Rocksprings from an out of town trip when they drove upon the wreck just minutes after it occurred.

The truck that had veered into the other lane was on fire. Brian had to climb in the truck and pull the driver out. Cecily and Cooper prayed as they fearfully watched it all happen.

Brian was successful in rescuing the man and someone else helped drag him away from the truck. Within an instant the truck was fully engulfed in flames and smoke.

This is clear evidence that Brian has answered his calling of being in law enforcement not only to keep lives safe but also to save lives, literally. He truly is a hero.
