RISD lockdown educates students and personnel on potential emergencies

RISD Administration in conjunction with Edwards County Sheriffs Office, US Border Patrol, DEA and Texas Game Wardens ran a lockdown last week, Wednesday, Janurary 30, to educate the school personnel and students on lockdown procedures and RISD’s Standard Response Protocol for a lockdown.

A school administrator said, “We also had a drug dog that was available to come to the school and do a random search of different classes and facilities. This is done to help students know that we will not tolerate narcotics/drugs on school grounds. If anyone is found to be in possession of illegal substances the School Administrators and Resource Officer take immediate action to take care of the incident.”
