Republican Andrew Murr to seek re-election to Texas House
JUNCTION, TX – State Representative Andrew Murr announced this week that he will seek a third term in the Texas House. First elected in 2014, Rep. Murr has helped craft two of the most conservative budgets in Texas history, and he said he is looking forward to continuing the fight for true property tax reform, and for a smaller, more accountable state government.
“I’ve said since Day 1 that I don’t work for the state, but rather that I am an extension of local government and of the people who elected me,” said Rep. Murr. “I go to work every day with one goal in mind, and that is to do everything in my power to create a state government that serves the people – not the other way around. While we have made great strides in that direction in the last three years, there is always more work to be done.”
