The reopening of Texas, with limitations

In his Monday, April 27th afternoon address on plans to reopen the state, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is allowing a nearly fourweek stay-at-home guidelines to expire this Thursday. That means many retail outlets will be allowed to reopen Friday, with limits.

Using doctor-approved guidelines, some businesses will be allowed to partially reopen depending on growth rate of confirmed cases, death rate, and hospitalization totals in each county. Fortunatly, Edwards County, as of April 27, had no confirmed CPVOD-19 cases.

The Governor also stated earlier that schools would remain closed until the end of the school year, but with distance learning (at home) continuing until the end of the term.

Abbott’s guidelines for the next few weeks include:

Phase 1 -May 1 all retail, restaurants, malls, museums, libraries may open with no more than 25% occupancy of the building.
