Lady Angoras clinch Bi-District title then lose Area to Moulton
The Lady Angoras end their basketball season as Bi-District Champions with a 23-7 record. The Lady A’s beat the Bruni Badgers on Monday, February 12th, but fell to the Moulton Kittens on Thursday, February 15th.
The Rocksprings team traveled to Dilley on the 12th to face Bruni for the first round of play-offs. The Lady A’s moved the ball down the floor and took a lead of 21 to 6 by the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the young freshmen duo of Skylar Harris and Amandah Viera added ten points as Harris stole the ball and Viera broke to the basket. By the half time break, the Rocksprings girls were up 41 to 13. The Lady A’s continued to outscore their opponent and finished the game 68 to 29. Zoe Burleson scored 31 points and snagged 14 rebounds, Viera put up 16 points, Grace Burleson scored 11 points, Harris had 8 points and 10 assists and Jasmin Montes added 2 points.
