City closer to ending financial crisis

The City of Rocksprings City Council held a Special Meeting this past Monday evening. After Mayor Pro Tem LaWanda Goller called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m., City Secretary Katherine Harris called the roll. All council members were in a attendance: Emma Barnebey, Sharron Croft, Ray Chapa and Brenna Bissett. Public Works Director Rudy Ramirez was also in attendance.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

No one from the public was signed up to speak in open forum.

Public Works Director Rudy Ramirez gave his monthly report to the council. He reported that a new pump has been installed and is up to date and running and should last for years to come. Ramirez stated that he and his crew are continuously working toward becoming licensed in wastewater treatment, sludge treatment and overall basic wastewater management.
