Don’t forget Devil’s Sinkhole’s bat viewing and star gazing this Saturday, September 12

Editor’s Note: If you are new to the area, the Devil’s Sinkhole State Natural is a must to visit. This weekend’s event is even topped off with the star gazing opportunity with experts from San Antonio.

ROCKSPRINGS, TEXAS----On Saturday, September 12, the Devil’s Sinkhole State Natural Area will host its annual combination bat viewing and star gazing event.

The bats should begin to emerge from the cave around 8:00 p.m. and the stars should be plainly visible by 9:00 p.m. The bat show is hosted by the volunteers of the Devil’s Sinkhole Society and the stargazing will be conducted by the members of the San Antonio Astronomical Association.

The entry fee will be a reduced rate of ten dollars for most folks and six dollars for children twelve and under.
