Charges increased on threats to witnesses
On Monday August 21, 2017 a case was being reviewed at the Edwards County sheriff’s office on a Terroristic Threat that happened in May 2017, at the Mesa Motel. A disabled man was assaulted by two Del Rio men that caused the man to be hospitalized, be monitored in ICU and be put on life support. Terroristic Threats is a Class A Misdemeanor and is punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a $4000.00 fine.
Isaac Jimenez and Ashley Castro are accused of threatening witnesses, with harm and possibly death, if the witnesses told law enforcement anything about the incident. The witnesses were afraid to come forward concerning the Injury to the Disabled case.
