On February 24th, 1968, the marriage of Charlotte Ellen Whittle to Michael Dewitt Grooms joined two families with deep roots in Edwards County. Charlotte and Mike, both fourth generation Edwards County residents, were both raised in Rocksprings, Texas. They were high school sweethearts and currently celebrate 52 years of marriage. A marriage that has deepened the family’s roots in Edwards County. One thing Charlotte and Mike are most proud of is the marriages of their four children (all to their original spouses and all of whom live in Edwards County with their families.)
