All positions for City Council and School Trustees filled, early voting in Primary Election in progress

Filing for the City of Rocksprings 2020 Election is over, and all positions including Mayor and three at-large Council positions have been filed for. Current Mayor Pro Tem LaWanda Goller filed to run for Mayor and current Council members Sharron Croft and Brenna Bissett have also filed to run for their positions. Also filing for a Council position is Andrew Barnebey.

As for the Rocksprings Independent School District School Board positions up for grabs, Paco Ramirez has filed for District 3 and Katy Shanklin has filed for District

7. Each are incumbents, and if there are no write-in candidates, they will resume their current positions.

Early voting has begun in the Primary Election. Local contested races are for Edwards County Sheriff, Sheriff Pamela Elliott (incumbent) vs. James J.W. Guthrie and Commissioner Precinct 3 Matt Fry (incumbent) and Carl Peterson.
