A group of carolers bucked the ice, snow and below freezing temperatures on Wednesday, December 19th in Rocksprings, Texas to go caroling. Well, maybe there wasn’t any snow, the weather was just right. Not too warm and not too cold! Natalie and Red Hampton from the Flying Bull Ranch at Vance, Texas brought their 1937 John Deere tractor to the First Baptist Church in Rocksprings along with a trailer with hay and a nice group went caroling around town. Everyone had a great time and next year the plans are to have maybe two trailers, so make plans to join the fun. Don’t know who had more fun, the singers or Jay Adams, who was their ‘Lead Goat’. Singers: Jean Hyde, Sharon Stevens and her daughter Chris of Dallas, Mrs. Peña, Rachel Gallegos, Rosa Cerda, Mary Wilson, Jonathon and Elizabeth Phillips of Camp Wood, Texas, Joyce Phillips, Tooter Smith, Jena and Darren Wall of De Soto, Texas, Bro. Albert Green, Louise Baker and Linda Weatherly made stops at the homes of Helen Fred, Frank Otis Cloudt, George and Gloria Herrmann, Ann Guthrie, Augustine Gonzales, Carmelo Moreno, Mr. and Mrs. Florencio Quinteros, Mattie Lee Young, Armando Ruiz and Pasqual De Luna. |
