F.O. Burleson bids for Precinct 2 & 5 Commisioner race

- I, F.O. (Tike) Burleson am announcing my candidacy on the Democratic ticket for Edwards County Commissioner of Precincts 2 and 5. I served in this capacity from 2003 through 2006. My efforts were always with the folks on the southern end of Edwards County as well as the constituents of Precinct 5. I began work on the Nutrition Center for Precinct 2 during this time and applaud the fruition of this project. During my service I helped get the grants for the water crossings on Cedar Creek as well as the Stewart High Estate on Pulliam.
I realize that one of your biggest concerns are the conditions of the county roads. We are blessed (or cursed) with more roads and water crossing problems than the other precincts. The use of available machinery on this end could very well solve some of these concerns. I will do my best to see this done.
I take the job of your commissioner seriously and will work with the County Judge and other commissioners to make Edwards County as solvent as possible. I will work tirelessly to engage the City of Rocksprings in joint efforts to better the conditions for all.
I believe in the Democratic process and know that one man cannot do the job alone.
Before, as your commissioner, I was a full-time employee of NCCISD. Now as a 1/2 day employee, I will be able to devote more time to my job as your commissioner. It is time consuming if done right. I can make no specific promises, but I will be fair and open minded to any future problems, projects and concerns.
I would sincerely appreciate your vote for Edwards County Commissioner of Precincts 2 and 5 in the upcoming election.
Pd. Pol. Adv. by F.O. Burleson
