Saturday's Internet Edition, July 05, 2008. Predator Management Assoc. announces winners - The Edwards County Predator Management Association drew for winners in the predator contest on January 15, 2008. There are 5 categories in the contest - open class, in which you buy tickets for a chance on the rifle; feral hog category-bring tail in; bobcat/mountain lion category, grey fox category and red fox/coyote category - in the last three categories you had to bring the animal in. The results of the contest were - 506 feral hogs killed with the winner being Wes Wall; 31 bobcats - winner Jose Narvais; 27 grey fox - winner Terry Lawless of Alvin, Texas; 2 red fox and 5 coyotes - winner Leroy Kolancy of Houston, Texas and 36 open class tickets - winner Bobby Suttles, of Barksdale, Texas. Country Boys Feed and Supply will continue the feral hog contest from now until after Labor Day, so continue to thin out the hogs in our county and bring tails in for a chance on the rifle. Edwards County PMA would like to thank everyone who participated in the contest for helping control predators in our county.
