Monday's Internet Edition, September 06, 2010. Mark Bean ‘throws hat’ in Edwards County Judge’s race - Hello, I’m Mark Bean, and I am in the Democratic race to be your County Judge. I was born in Rocksprings, and lived in this community until I was in high school. While it is true that I was away for many years, this town and this county have always really been my hometown. When the opportunity came to move back, I did not hesitate one moment. In the years I was away from Edwards County, I gained from the experiences I received in other places, and, through hard work, I acquired the first university degree in my family. My work in the Edwards Tax Office is one way I have tried to help out in our community. One person, however, cannot do it by themselves. So I am not only asking for your vote, I am asking for your help, ideas and advice to make this a better place-a place of open government that welcomes the participation of all the citizens. If you give me those things, my promise to you is that I will be honest, hard working and available. I believe the primary election will be a tough contest.
