The Barksdale Civic Association will host a “Meet the Candidate Night” at the association’s monthly meeting on at 6:00 p.m. Monday February 22, 2010 at the Mary B. Powers Hall in Barksdale. This session will begin immediately after a short business meeting.
All Candidates running for Edwards County Offices along with those seeking local Precinct 2 & 5 offices have been invited to come and introduce themselves and give a short presentation to the local area residents. If you live in Edwards County you are invited to attend and listen to what each candidate has to say.
In the past, the Barksdale Civic Association has met at 6:00 p.m. the fourth (4th) Monday of each month at the Mary B. Powers Hall for a business meeting and social. This year the Organization will change the format of these meeting. While there will still be a meeting on the 4th Monday evening of each month, business meetings will only be held every other month and the alternating month will be used for an open social.
The Barksdale Civic Association is involved in various projects to promote the Community of Barksdale. If you have a Barksdale address or live within the Barksdale phone exchange we invite you to become a member of our organization.
