The college recognizes those students who take a minimum of 12 college credit hours and earn a grade point average of 3.25 to 3.74 as Distinguished Students and those with at least a 3.75 as President’s Scholars. Katy Scotch of Rocksprings has been named to the Distinguished Students list. Katy was a 2005 honor graduate of Rocksprings High School. She is the daughter of Tamara and Mike Scotch of Rocksprings. Katy has been accepted and now attending Texas A&M/College Station majoring in Animal Nutrition. The junior student plans to get her Master’s in Genetics and Doctorate in Animal Nutrition. 2007 RHS valedictorian, Cade Cottle was recently named to Texas Tech University’s Dean’s List for earning a 3.6 his first fall semester while taking 16 hours of classes. He is a Petroleum Engineer major with a minor in Math. He was offered an internship with XTO Energy this summer and will be stationed in New Mexico. The Dean’s Honor List is accorded to those students who have attained a grade point average of 3.5 or better during the semester. Cade is the son of Bobby and Cheryl Cottle of Rocksprings. |
