- Sally Hutto Haeber was born July 23, 1954 in Rocksprings, Texas. She passed away October 17, 2005 in Kerrville, Texas at Sid Peterson Hospital after a brave battle with cancer.
Sally is survived by her husband, Jerry Haeber; her two sons, Joe Bill Carpenter and John Clay Carpenter all of Rocksprings and a stepdaughter, Holly Haeber, of Kerrville.
She is also survived by her sister, Kitty and her husband Wayne Lewis of Del Rio, two nieces, Lynzee and Chelsea Lewis, one wonderful aunt, Mary Lee Lauson of Del Rio, cousin Bobby McCulley and numerous family and friends.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Dorothy Leigh Hutto and her brother Milton Hutto.
Growing up in a ranching family in Carta Valley, Sally developed a love for this way of life. She continued to ranch throughout her adult life while also being employed by the Farm Service Agency (FSA), formly known as ASCS in Rocksprings for over 29 years. She received a plaque for 25 years of service in 2001 and a cash award for Outstanding Employee Performance from October 1, 2002 through July 31, 2003. Sally faithfully served in the office assisting others with her bright smile.
Services will be held at Nelson Funeral Home in Rocksprings, Texas at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 20th with burial following at Carta Valley Cemetery .
Pallbearers are Clark Hankins, Mike Craddock, Roy Lee Hutto, Mike Grooms, Joel Gourley and Johnny Whitworth.
