- George V. Morales, 47, of Rio Frio, Texas died November 29, 2005 at his home in Rio Frio. He was born March 8, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to Amador “Tony” R. Morales and Pelar Villafranco Morales.
He is survived by his father, Amador “Tony” Morales of Rio Frio; mother, Pelar Villafranco Morales of Dallas; sisters, Irene Morales and Elissa Morales of Dallas and brother, Amador “Tony” Morales, Jr. of Galveston, Texas.
Services were held Friday, December 2 in the Church in the Valley in Leakey, Texas. Jimmy Albarado officiated the services with burial in the Leakey Floral Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Home of Leakey, Texas.
Ivy Louise Brooks Sansom
Ivy Louise Brooks Sansom, 89, of Leakey, Texas died December 1, 2005 in St. George, Utah. She was born November 30, 1916 in Leakey, Texas to Carl L. Brooks & Lucy Homes.
She was preceded in death by her son John L. Sansom in 1940; her husband Homer Sansom in 1981; another son Dudley C. Sansom in 1994.
She is survived by one son Homer J. Sansom, Jr. and wife Joanne of St. George, Utah; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5th in the United Methodist Church in Leakey, Texas. Burial followed at the Leakey Floral Cemetery. The Leakey Chapter of the order of Eastern Star conducted the commital service.
Arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Home of Leakey, Texas.
Alisa Lane Whitley, 23, of Sabine Pass, Texas died November 29, 2005 in an auto accident in Port Arthur, Texas. She was born October 10, 1982 in Denison, Texas to Christopher Lynn Whitley and Penny Lane Pannell.
Alisa Lane Whitley was a 2001 Rocksprings High School graduate.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Bob Wallace; grandfather Bob Caillet; two sisters Brittany Whitley and Laura Caillet.
She is survived by her parents Penny Lane and Ken Wallace of Sabine Pass, Texas; father, Christopher Whitley of Paris, Texas; sisters Lesley Caillet of Sabine Pass, Texas, Ashley Finch and Jacey Whitley of Paris, Texas; brothers Christopher Whitley Jr., Whitney Whitley and Dillon Daniels of Paris, Texas; grandparents Eddie and Debbie Pannell of Camp Wood, Texas, Clariece Wallace of San Antonio, Texas, Ronnie and Tena Hicks of Direct, Texas and Russell and Sue Whitley of Paris, Texas.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2005 in the Barksdale Baptist Church in Barksdale, Texas with Reverend Carroll Vernor, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Vance Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brad Tucker, Michael Tucker, J. J. Wallace, Steve Parks Jr., Kevin Parks and Roy Parks.

Margaret Farnum Wicker, loving mother, grandmother and friend, dled December 1, 2005 at the age of 87, in her daughter’s home in San Angelo after a short illness.
She was born May 6, 1918 in Barstow, Texas to the late Lovey George and Effie Miles Farnum. Raised on a dairy, she graduated from Barstow High School. In June 1946, she married H. LaVaughn Wicker in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The couple resided in Pecos, Texas for 43 years where they raised daughters Jennifer and Cyd and son Garet. While in Pecos, Margaret worked for the Pecos Independent School District until her retirement in 1988. The following year, Margaret and LaVaughn relocated to Rocksprings, Texas to be with daughter Jennifer Callison and her family.
In Rocksprings, Margaret and LaVaughn joined the First Baptist Church where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple adopted Rocksprings as their home and Margaret made numerous friends, many of whom shared her passion for sewing and crocheting.
Margaret relocated to San Angelo, Texas in 2003, where she resided at Rio Concho Manner. During her time in San Angleo, she enjoyed seeing more of her family and making new friends.
Margaret is survived by daughter Jennifer and husband David Callison of San Angleo, son Garet Wicker and wife Larie of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and daughter Cynthia Cyd Wicker and partner Dave Ginsberg of Minneapolis, Minnesota; grandchildren Jeff Hart and wife Traci of Del Rio, Coy Callison and wife Kim of Lubbock, Carren Treadaway and husband Stanley of San Angleo, Chris Wicker and wife Dana of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Sara Wicker of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and great grandchildren Lily Callison, Kendall Hart and Nathan Treadaway. In addition to her parents, she was proceded in death by husband LaVaughn and brothers Waters Farnum and C. M. Farnum.
Funeral services for Margaret were held at the First Baptist Church in Rocksprings, Texas at 3:30 p.m. on December 5th. Graveside services followed at Rocksprings Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Home of Rocksprings.
