She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer Dean in 1977, and stepmother Leska Nelms Reisor Mead.
Gladys is survived by her many nieces and nephews—Patty and Barbara Jackson of Oklahoma; Marcia Mead of Lubbock, Texas; Marilyn Slentz and husband Steve of Denver City, Texas; Gary Mead and wife Sherry of Denver City, Texas; Mark Mead of New Braunfels, Texas; Mike Mead of Houston, Texas, Larry, Judy, Mike, Jack, Shelly and Tony Reisor all of Austin, Texas; Melvina Lakey and husband Tom of Lubbock, Texas; Sue Murdoch and husband John of Lubbock, Texas; Carole McLoughlin and husband Bill of Port Leyden, New York; Ron Waggoner and wife Dede of Austin, Texas; Wava Lee Reisor of Fort Worth, Texas; Phyllis Ratjen of Happy, Texas; Janice Carter of Sundown, Texas; Joline Streeman of Sundown, Texas; Deanna Deaver of Eden, Texas; Sharon White of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Lelan Dean of Plano, Texas; and Delford, Gary Lee and Betty Dean all of Medford, Oregon.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-laws Violet Dean of Plano, Texas; Mary Reisor of Austin, Texas; and Jean Mead of Lubbock, Texas. She is survived by her brother Edgar Reisor of Fort Worth, Texas.
Pallbearers were Jerry Robert Ellis, Gary Mead, Chris Murdoch, Ron Wagner, Tom Lakey and Jack Clark.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2006 in the Nelson Funeral Chapel, with burial in the Rocksprings Cemetery. Rev. Tom Lakey and John Murdoch officiated. Arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Home of Rocksprings, Texas.
