TDA awards $1 million to remove, control feral hogs
- AUSTIN - The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) recently awarded Texas AgriLife Extension Service $1 million for the agency’s new Texas Feral Hog Control Program:  Moving Towards A Long-Term Abatement Strategy. Texas is home to more than 2 million feral hogs, the largest feral hog population in the U.S., and their numbers continue to increase due to high reproductive potential and the lack of natural predators. Feral hogs wreak havoc on property, livestock, crops and pastures across the state and frustrate landowners because of their destructive nature. Dancers delight audience at Dance Extravganza
Extravaganza 2008

Allison’s School of Dance presented their annual dance recital last Saturday night beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the school auditorium. Instructor Allison Burleson showcased her students as they performed tap, ballet and jazz selections.
From ages 3 years to 12 year olds, dancers were Claire Burleson, Averie Flores, Emma Franco, Jillian Reyes, Nevaeh Sifuentes, Ashtyn Warren, Zoe Burleson, Jason Carrillo, Freddie Enriquez, Malorie Gonzales, Maurice Narvaez-Patterson, Nicole Rangel, Francis Vega, Lakota Wall, Grace Burleson, Melissa Galindo, Gabriella Patino, Rebecca Ramirez, Zaneta Wade and Blake Warren.
The group delighted the crowd with each selection performed.
Assisting Burleson were Lance Burleson, Ryan Reed, Hannah and Haley Burleson, Paige Hendley and Holly Grooms.
